
On October 13, 1972, a Uruguayan rugby team, along with friends, family, and flight crew (45 people in total), was onboard Flight 571 bound for a match in Santiago, Chile when their plane crashed into the remote Andes mountains.
Stranded at an altitude of over 11,000 feet and facing extreme cold, lack of food, and treacherous terrain, the survivors had to face the harsh reality of their situation. They struggled to stay alive in the freezing temperatures, surviving on extremely limited supplies.
With no way to communicate and rescue efforts having been called off, the survivors faced a bleak fate. On December 12, two members of the group, Nando Parrado and Roberto Canessa, decided there was no choice but to embark on an extraordinary journey to find help. Battling through snow-covered peaks and dangerous crevasses, they hiked for ten days across the dangerous mountains to reach civilization.
After more than two months of isolation, 16 survivors were finally rescued and brought back to safety! What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?

REPORTS TO: VP, SALES INDUSTRY: LOGISTICS / COURIER / TRANSPORTATION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the VP, Sales, the National Account Executive will communicate and sell value, for one-of-a-kind, custom-tailored, logistics solutions to new clients in the retail space – across the GTA. Our client’s solution is ‘untapped’ by their competitors and completely unique in the logistics and supply chain space. This candidate will have the autonomy to build an outstanding portfolio of new clients!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prospect new clients in Retail Industry, research customer value statements + create / present customized solutions
· Achieve growth within established existing account base through up-selling + cross-selling opportunities
· Effectively communicate company’s key differences (-vs- ‘big guy’ competitors) and SELL VALUE
· Conduct client meetings + presentations, ranging from fact-finding to closing deals
· Secure new business across the GTA, with a focus on large, national clients with a brick-and-mortar presence in the area
· Strategically identify + recognize key opportunities and present value-based solutions
· Generate new business and manage full sales cycle in both new and existing account base
· Keep up-to-date data and effectively report on opportunities through company’s CRM
REQUIREMENTS:
MUST HAVE:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a consultative, B2B sales role
· Innate ability to HUNT new business and sell value!
· Ability to build rapport and expand existing book of business
· Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills
· A go-getter who is self-motivated while still working in a collaborative team environment
NICE-TO-HAVE:
· Experience in Transportation & Logistics industry (or experience selling into multi-location Retail accounts)
REMUNERATION:
BASE SALARY: $85,000 – $90,000
ON-TARGET VARIABLE: $30,000+ (uncapped)
ON-TARGET EARNINGS: $115,000 – $120,000
