In the mining world, you are considered to have ‘hit pay dirt’ once you’ve mined an area, deep enough into the earth, to find the profitable layer of precious metal. In essence, these folks were ‘striking’ it rich – with their shovel!

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role? Nothing, really. That said, while you’re here, Janna French has a Sales Executive opportunity for an individual who will be generating over the road sales leads via inside sales networking, cold-calling, and relationship management. Our client is massive force in the 3PL / cross-border freight industry with 400,000 trucks and 54,000 carriers at their disposal. They are a $500MM brokerage with the size and capabilities to meet any need! They provide several services, including Shipper/Carrier Portals, LTL, Specialized Freight, Intermodal, Temperature Controlled, Dry Van – and more! POSITION: SALES EXECUTIVE REPORTS TO: BRANCH DIRECTOR INDUSTRY: TRANSPORTATION LOCATION: MONTREAL

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Negotiate contracts & sustainable rates with shippers & carriers

· Maintain relationships with existing clientele & build business internally

· Ensure new clients / business is fostered

· Create sales strategies by gathering market information, analyzing opportunities & documenting sales methodology

· Respond to client prospect inquiries by preparing responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) & RFQs

· Prepare presentations & delivering to prospective clientele

REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum high school equivalent or higher

· 2+ years of sales experience working within the transportation industry (specifically over the road)

· Currently working with a sales capacity of $10k + / month GP

· Proven strong customer relationships with a transferrable book of business (preferred)

· Currently working with a small - medium transport broker or asset-based company

· Strong operations knowledge (preferred)

· Great communicator; capable of working both independently & as part of the greater team

· Bilingual (French / English) an asset

REMUNERATION:

BASE SALARY RANGE: $60,000 – $70,000 ON-TARGET VARIABLE: $16,800 (uncapped potential) ON-TARGET EARNINGS: $76,800 – $86,800
