Victor Lustig was born January 4, 1890, in Hostinné, Austria-Hungary.
Lustig was an extremely skilled conman and is infamous for being "the man who sold the Eiffel Tower – twice"!
He's also known for originating the "Rumanian Box" scam – aka the Money Box.
Lustig would approach an individual with a ‘machine’ he claimed could duplicate any currency placed inside it. The ‘machine’ was a specially designed mahogany box with two small slots and several levers and mechanisms that had to be carefully maneuvered to produce the duplicate currency.
To convince the person the Money Box truly worked, Lustig asked them for a $100 bill. He would insert the bill into his device and explain the machine would take 6 hours to create the copy.
When 6 hours had passed, Lustig would reach into the machine and magically produce a perfect ‘counterfeit’ bill (which was in fact, a real $100 bill he had pre-loaded)!
Lustig would then accompany the individual to a bank to authenticate the note. Once the person was whipped into a frenzy, Lustig would sell them the box for thousands of dollars.
Before delivering the machine, Lustig would pre-pack the Money Box with 4 genuine $100 bills, which would buy him 24 hours to get out of town – before the individual realized they'd been conned.

They are in search of a Regional Account Executive with B2B solution sales experience. The geographic territory spans Toronto West to Windsor to Hamilton and Niagara (and all points in between).
Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Regional Account Executive will prospect, target, close and manage commercial accounts.

OFFICE: 90% WORK FROM HOME RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet sales revenue target for new and existing clients
Grow business via key sales metrics – prospecting calls, in person meetings, proposals, closing calls
Delight your clients by understanding their key priorities and business initiatives
Develop relationships with Sales & Ops Teams to retain existing accounts and prospect for new revenue
‘Solution Selling’ is imperative to your success aligning to your client’s key goals
Regular cadence with existing clients to ensure company is delivering services to their expectation
Learn and sell the organization’s entire technology, solutions, and services portfolio
Develop and execute business plans for the client base and preserve 99% customer retention levels
Communicate market developments to assist with establishing regional sales and marketing strategies
Utilize CRM to enter activities, pipeline, contacts, and notes – to drive management of the business
3+ years’ experience in B2B sales (service, NOT product)
A history of achieving sales targets in previous sales roles
Experience interacting with all levels of stakeholders in an account – from junior positions to C-Level
Strong communication skills + experience selling to new logo, building strategies to grow account revenue
Proficient in use of CRM tools and knowledge of contracts and contract management are essential
BASE SALARY: $70,000 – $75,000 ON-TARGET VARIABLE: $45,000 (and uncapped!) ON-TARGET EARNINGS: $115,000 – $120,000 (remember, uncapped) OTHER: benefits + rrsp + mileage program + 95% work from home
