
In the mid-1800s, a chef named George Crum was working as a chef in a restaurant in Saratoga Springs, New York. One day, a customer ordered fried potatoes but complained they were too thick and soggy. To teach the customer a lesson, George sliced the potatoes incredibly thin and fried them until they became crispy and crunchy.
To his surprise, the customer loved the thin, crispy potatoes, and word of the unique snack spread quickly. They became known as ‘Saratoga Chips’ and gained popularity among the restaurant's patrons.
Eventually, the demand for these potato chips grew, and George Crum opened his own restaurant, where he served the Saratoga Chips as a specialty item. People flocked to his restaurant to taste the delicious, thin, and crispy potato chips.

SUMMARY
For 80+ years, our client has provided the safe and reliable transportation of liquid chemicals to many of the largest Chemical companies in the USA and Canada. They currently run a modern fleet of 70 trucks east of the Mid-West – as well as offering transload services.
POSITION: NATIONAL SALES MANAGER (EASTERN USA)

The successful candidate will develop and coordinate business development activities to maximize market share and profitability. The candidate will work with Sales and Operations teams to execute a successful strategy.
REQUIREMENTS
§ 5+ years of Bulk tank liquid trucking experience with strong knowledge of customer pool (preferred)
§ Proven results closing business of $3MM – $5MM, annually
§ Strong consultative selling + knowledge of pricing & margin integrity
§ Dry bulk transportation experience (asset)
§ Experience selling dedicated transportation services (asset)
§ CRM knowledge (Hubspot, Monday.com or similar)
§ Knowledge of FMCSA & DOT regulations & requirements (asset)
§ Time & territory management reporting CRM (Salesforce, ACT or similar)
§ BA or BS College Graduate
§ Ability to travel 15% – 20%
REMUNERATION
SALARY: $80,000 – $100,000 (USD) OTV: $30,000 – $50,000 (USD) ON-TARGET EARNINGS: $110,000 – $160,000 (USD)
