ROPE-A-DOPE ($103,000 – $109,000)

On October 30, 1974, in Zaire, 60,000 people gathered to watch George Foreman (the reigning, undefeated world heavyweight champion) and Muhammad Ali (the former champion) square off, in what is widely considered the greatest sporting event of the 20th century.


The historic boxing event, dubbed ‘The Rumble in the Jungle’ had Ali pegged as a 4-1 underdog.


Facing a physically superior competitor, Ali realized he had little chance of victory if he tried to simply trade blows with Foreman. As such, he and his team devised a secret plan. As the second round commenced, Ali put his never before seen ‘Rope-a-Dope’ plan into action.


Leaning back on the ropes and covering his head, Ali allowed Foreman to punch at his arms and body. Weathering a storm of punches, Ali would strategically deliver a flurry of shots once George had grown tired.


Foreman didn’t realize the amount of energy he was expending – while landing largely ineffective strikes.


And, as the 8th round was coming to a close, Ali delivered a flurry of punches to an energy-depleted Foreman … sending the exhausted champion to the canvas!

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s newest role? Nothing really. That said, while you’re here, Jeanne Agius is looking for a Territory Sales Manager (based in Toronto or Montreal) – for our client’s Eastern Canada region. Our multi-national client is the global leader in the industrial parts industry. POSITION:    TERRITORY SALES MANAGER TERRITORY:   EASTERN CANADA LOCATION:   TORONTO OR MONTREAL INDUSTRY:    INDUSTRIAL PARTS



·       Achieve sales targets within assigned territory (70% of time on road developing business across Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes).

·       Schedule and conduct in-person visits and phone calls, aligning with management goals.

·       Build genuine relationships with key contacts within the client base across the assigned territory.

·       Keep clients up to date on product offerings and programs.

·       Analyze client’s parts usage reports to drive additional sales and inform product offerings.

·       Document sales visits, outcomes, and follow-ups in CRM, ensuring accuracy and relevancy.

·       Ensure timely follow-ups with clients and internal teams to address issues or leverage sales opportunities.




·       A college degree or 5+ years of sales experience in the industrial equipment industry.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Products, with essential computer skills.

·       Capable of making client presentations with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

·       Strong business acumen, time management and organizational skills.




BASE SALARY: $90,000 – $95,000

ON-TARGET VARIABLE: $13,500 – $14,250 (variable capped at 150%) ON-TARGET EARNINGS: $103,500 – $109,250
