Anyone who knows me on a personal level has heard a story or two about my mother and father. They emigrated from Croatia to Canada in 1967 – relocating from a small, simple village to the Steel City – Hamilton.
By the age of 10 or 11, my parents fully expected my sisters and I to ‘handle affairs’ on their behalf.
This included writing letters, negotiating insurance policies, preparing income tax paperwork, and calling Sears to schedule a repairman.
One advantage of growing up in our house was our introduction to words that weren’t exactly English (nor Croatian, for that matter).
For example, one of my father’s favourites was the ‘word’ – ‘un-believe-it’.
When the Maple Leafs would lose – he’d shout ‘un-believe-it’!
But when they won – he’d shout ‘un-believe-it’, too!??
To this day, we aren’t exactly sure if he means to say ‘unbelievable’, ‘do you believe this’ or ‘I can’t believe it’.
Whatever the case, he uses it a lot (and so do we)!

Reporting to the VP, Sales and based from home in Montreal, the National Account Executive will grow the company’s business footprint across the province of Quebec + across Canada.
POSITION: NATIONAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (BILINGUAL) TERRITORY: MONTREAL-BASED (CLIENT ACROSS CANADA)
OFFICE: WORK FROM HOME RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Achieve annual sales and profitability targets
§ Lead development and execution of account development plans
§ Manage sales pipeline + expand business within designated high potential accounts
§ Use consultative, solution selling approach to uncover client needs + promote full suite of products & services
§ Write effective sales proposals + discovery documents
§ Conduct virtual + F2F presentations with existing and prospective clients
§ Nurture existing client relationships, ensuring extraordinary customer experiences
§ Utilize CRM system to capture client activities and manage pipeline
§ Negotiate + cost management to ensure desired level of profitability
§ Partner with solution architects, project managers, coaching team, and facilitators on client delivery initiatives
§ Establish + maintain contact with senior executives in key accounts
§ 5+ years’ solution selling experience
§ Proven record of attaining and exceeding sales goals
§ Demonstrated success selling to existing and brand-new logos
§ Experience maintaining + nurturing client accounts over a long period
§ Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite + CRM systems
BASE SALARY: $80,000 – $100,000
ON-TARGET VARIABLE: $80,000 (uncapped) ON-TARGET EARNINGS: $160,000 – $180,000 *** YEAR 1 VARIABLE GUARANTEED AT NO LESS THAN: $60,000 OTHER: benefits + rrsp + mileage program + work from home
