In the late 1970s, Jean-Michel Basquiat was completely unknown.

He’d dropped out of school, had no stable place to live, and survived by selling hand-painted postcards and T-shirts on the streets of New York.

One day, he walked into a SoHo restaurant and did what he always did to get by – he tried selling a postcard to someone at a table for a dollar.

That “someone” happened to be Andy Warhol.

Warhol handed over a dollar and a conversation started.

That connection eventually opened the door for gallery shows, collaborations, and the visibility Basquiat needed to be taken seriously in a world that had ignored him.

Just a few years later, his work was selling in major galleries.

Today, Basquiat pieces sell for over $100 million. What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role? Nothing at all. That said, while we have your attention, Mate Pavkovic is looking for a Family Law Lawyer for our client – one of Western Canada’s largest full-service law firms. ESTATE PARALEGAL — VANCOUVER, BC (14 MONTH CONTRACT +) THE ROLE (IN 9 LINES OR LESS):

·         Support the Estates & Wills team across a variety of estate matters.

·         Assist with estate administration, probate, and related filings.

·         Prepare and review wills, powers of attorney, and supporting documents.

·         Conduct legal research and draft correspondence.

·         Manage client communications and keep files meticulously organized.

·         Liaise with beneficiaries, executors, and other professionals.

·         Support litigation matters as needed.

·         Balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·         Deliver top-tier client service in a collaborative team setting.

WHAT YOU BRING:

·         3–5 years paralegal experience with estates, wills, and trusts.

·         Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication.

·         Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

·         Collaborative, client-focused, and proactive.

·         Proficiency with legal software + MS Office.
