In January 2016, two brothers from Pennsylvania were driving home after spending a month fishing in the Florida Keys. Before leaving Marathon, Florida, they stopped at a convenience store where both brothers bought a few Powerball tickets.

A few days later, one of the brothers was sitting at his regular breakfast spot checking headlines on his phone when he saw the winning Powerball numbers from the draw.

Out of curiosity, he pulled the ticket from his wallet and checked the numbers.

Then, he checked them again.

To celebrate, he bought breakfast for everyone in the restaurant before calling his family with one message: “We’re going back to Florida.”

What makes the story even better is that both brothers actually won money from the same draw. The Florida Lottery even gave them both oversized winner’s cheques for the photo.

One brother won $291.4 million.

The other won $7.

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role? Nothing.

That said, while you’re here, Karolina Kulis is working with a well-established Canadian organization looking for a high-performance sales professional with a strong hunter mindset and proven ability to open doors in manufacturing and industrial markets.

 

This is a role for someone who is energized by prospecting, building territory from scratch, and turning manufacturing relationships into long-term, complex solution sales.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The Account Executive will be responsible for driving new business across a large Ontario territory. This role focuses on selling customized storage, workspace and industrial optimization solutions into manufacturing, industrial, commercial and institutional environments.

 

This is a full-cycle, consultative sales role where you identify opportunities, develop solutions and close deals. This is not account management. It is a business development role designed for someone who wants to build and own a territory.

POSITION: ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE LOCATION: TORONTO (GTA) TERRITORY: EASTERN + NORTHERN ONTARIO RESPONSIBILITIES:

§  Prospect and develop new business across manufacturing and industrial accounts.

§  Build relationships with plant managers, engineers, operations leaders, facility managers and procurement teams.

§  Drive new business development and pipeline creation across a large Ontario territory.

§  Sell customized storage, workspace and industrial optimization solutions.

§  Identify project opportunities and develop consultative solution proposals.

§  Create layouts, proposals and support presentation development with internal teams.

§  Manage RFQs, tenders and project-based sales cycles.

§  Coordinate closely with internal design and project delivery teams.

§  Maintain CRM activity and pipeline discipline.

§  Build long-term relationships within Ontario manufacturing networks.

§  Leverage inbound opportunities when available but primarily drive outbound growth.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

§  3+ years B2B outside sales experience.

§  Proven track record in new business development and pipeline generation.

§  Experience selling into manufacturing, industrial, automation, material handling or technical environments strongly preferred.

§  Strong hunter mentality with consistent prospecting activity.

§  Comfort working independently across a large geographic territory.

§  Strong communication and relationship-building skills with technical stakeholders.

§  Experience in consultative or project-based sales cycles.

§  Strong organization, accountability and follow-through.

§  Comfort engaging with manufacturing environments and industrial decision-makers.

§  NICE TO HAVE: Industrial automation, material handling, racking/storage, CNC machinery, industrial equipment or technical B2B solution sales experience.

 

REMUNERATION:

 

BASE SALARY: $75,000 – $80,000 ON-TARGET VARIABLE (YEAR 1): $25,000 (uncapped) ON-TARGET EARNINGS (YEAR 1): $100,000+ ON-TARGET EARNINGS (YEAR 2): $150,000+ OTHER: benefits + car allowance + mileage + 4 weeks’ vacation + benefits
