BOOM ($95,000 – $105,000)

While the words “dynamite” and “TNT” are often used interchangeably, they’re not the same thing at all. Back in the 1860s, Swedish chemist and engineer Alfred Nobel was searching for a safer, more stable alternative to nitroglycerin – which was notoriously volatile. His goal was simple: create an explosive that didn’t blow people to smithereens just because they were handling it. By combining nitroglycerin with absorbent materials and stabilizers, Nobel created dynamite.

Of course, “safer” is relative. An explosion at Nobel’s plant killed his own brother. So, apparently there was still some work to do. TNT, meanwhile, was discovered in Germany by Joseph Wilbrand in 1863.

It’s a completely different chemical, made by adding three nitro groups to toluene.

And while TNT is less powerful than dynamite, it’s considerably more stable and harder to ignite – making it easier to handle and, in many applications, safer.

So, no … dynamite and TNT are definitely not the same thing. What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role? Not much. That said, Iva Frankovic’s newest role is pretty dynamite! She’s looking for an experienced Distribution Manager to take full operational ownership of a large-scale food-grade 3PL distribution center in Bolton supporting 8 to 12 customer accounts.

This role is responsible for the overall performance of the operation, including staffing, service levels, workflow, productivity, compliance and day-to-day execution across all shifts.

Our client is looking for someone with proven end-to-end ownership of an entire distribution center (~150,000 to 200,000+ sq. ft.) within a food-grade 3PL environment. This is not a shift management role.

·       Ensure all orders are picked, packed and shipped accurately and on time

·       Drive accountability across the entire operation with full ownership of performance, staffing, service execution and operational results

·       Monitor KPIs, labor utilization, productivity and overall warehouse performance

·       Maintain food-grade warehouse standards and ensure ongoing audit readiness and compliance

·       Support AIB, Health Canada, customer, and internal audit requirements

·       Troubleshoot operational challenges quickly and proactively implement solutions

·       Maintain a safe, organized, and highly efficient warehouse environment

·       Work closely with ownership and senior leadership on operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives

·       Step into operations directly when required and lead from the floor when necessary

REQUIREMENTS

·       7+ years of warehouse or distribution center leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior operational leadership role

·       Experience within a 3PL warehouse or distribution environment supporting multi-client accounts

·       Experience within a food-grade warehousing operation

·       Experience owning an entire distribution center operation end-to-end with full operational accountability

·       Strong preference for candidates who have operated as the primary operational leader for a site, rather than managing only a shift or partial function

·       Experience managing large warehouse environments of approximately 150,000 sq. ft. or greater preferred

·       Strong ability to manage competing customer requirements, shifting priorities and multiple SLAs simultaneously

·       Demonstrated leadership experience managing supervisors, lead hands and warehouse teams
