SUMMARY: Our client, a respected Hamilton law firm with 25+ lawyers, is seeking a seasoned Insurance Litigation Lawyer. The firm is known for fearless advocacy, fairness, and a culture of mentorship and community. A moderate portable book of business would be a strong asset to complement their broad commercial client base.

POSITION:    INSURANCE LITIGATION LAWYER INDUSTRY:   LEGAL

LOCATION:   HAMILTON, ONTARIO RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Handle matters within the firm’s property insurance, coverage, fraud, and subrogation practices.

·         Manage client files from assignment through to trial.

·         Provide clear legal advice and strategic guidance to clients.

·         Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

·         Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         3+ years of post-call experience in insurance litigation.

·         Knowledge and experience in one or more of property insurance, coverage, fraud, or subrogation.

·         Strong academic background + excellent oral & written advocacy skills.

·         Solid organizational and time management skills.

·         High degree of professional & personal ethics, integrity, and responsibility.

·         Ability to thrive both in a team atmosphere and independently.

·         Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

REMUNERATION:

SALARY RANGE: $110,000 – $160,000
