In 1808, Napoleon Bonaparte invaded Spain, forced the royal family to abdicate, and placed his brother, Joseph Bonaparte, on the throne. The rightful king, Ferdinand VII, was taken to France and held there under guard, effectively a prisoner with no power.
Spain refused to accept the new ruler. Uprisings spread, local governments formed, and armies organized. But instead of choosing someone else, they ruled in Ferdinand’s name. Orders were issued for him, loyalty was sworn to him, and the war was fought to restore a monarch who wasn’t even in the country.
While he remained imprisoned, Spanish leaders drafted the Spanish Constitution of 1812, which limited royal power and created a more modern system. The assumption was that Ferdinand would return and rule under it.
In 1814, he was released and welcomed back as king. He accepted the crown, then quickly abolished the constitution, restored absolute rule, and arrested many of the leaders who had governed in his name! What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s role? Nothing at all. That said, while you’re here, Jeanne Agius is looking for a Territory Sales Manager for our multi-national client – a global supplier of replacement parts and equipment solutions serving industrial and technical sectors. The sales territory spans Alberta & Saskatchewan. POSITION: TERRITORY SALES MANAGER TERRITORY: ALBERTA & SASKATCHEWAN INDUSTRY: INDUSTRIAL PARTS
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Achieve territory sales targets (60% “on-the-road” developing business in Alberta and British Columbia).
· Schedule and conduct in-person visits and phone calls, aligning with management goals.
· Build relationships with key client contacts within the client base across the assigned territory.
· Keep clients up to date on product offerings and programs.
· Analyze client’s parts usage reports to drive additional sales and inform product offerings.
· Document sales visits, outcomes, and follow-ups in CRM, ensuring accuracy and relevancy.
· Ensure timely follow-ups with clients and internal teams to address issues or leverage sales opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
· 5+ years of sales experience in the industrial equipment industry.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Products, with essential computer skills.
· Capable of making client presentations with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
· Strong business acumen, time management and organizational skills.
· The flexibility to travel across the territory to build strong relationships with clients and targets alike.
REMUNERATION
BASE SALARY: $90,000 – $110,000
ON-TARGET VARIABLE: (15% to 25% of base salary) ON-TARGET EARNINGS: $103,500 – $137,500
