In Monroe, Washington, in 2008, former athlete Anthony Curcio masterminded an armoured car heist that seemed like it was from a Hollywood movie. His plan centered on distraction: he used a fake Craigslist ad to lure dozens of unsuspecting men, all dressed identically in yellow vests and masks, to the bank at the time of the robbery. These unwitting participants became his immediate distraction – a crowd of instant doppelgängers.
Curcio, dressed exactly the same, pepper-sprayed an armoured guard, stole over $400,000, then made his escape on an inner tube down a creek using a pre-strung cable system, leaving police chasing his identical decoys.
His sophisticated plan was foiled not by the FBI, but by a simple mistake: during a practice run weeks earlier, he was seen by a local homeless man. Suspicious of the strange behavior, the witness wrote down Curcio's license plate number. That single tip provided the crucial link, leading to Curcio's arrest after his DNA matched the discarded mask.
What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role? Absolutely nothing! That said, Jeanne Agius is looking for a Sales Executive in the GTA to drive new business in an underserved segment. Our client manufactures custom corrugated packaging and related shipping supplies. They specialize in short runs, quick turnarounds, and in-house packaging design, serving small & mid-market customers across the GTA. In this role, you’ll hunt for net-new accounts, sell custom corrugated boxes, protective packaging (e.g., bubble/shrink wrap), and design-led solutions, partnering closely with internal design and operations to deliver fast, reliable outcomes. POSITION: SALES EXECUTIVE INDUSTRY: PACKAGING LOCATION: GTA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Learn & Assess: Understand offerings, client base, operating model; identify market opportunities.
· Build & Position: Develop/manage a strong new-business pipeline aligned to growth priorities.
· Execute & Deliver: Close packaging opportunities and create measurable impact.
· Build and manage a qualified pipeline; lead the full sales process from prospecting/qualification to proposal, negotiation, and close.
· Meet/exceed revenue & MSF targets; maintain accurate CRM and weekly forecasts.
· Represent company at customer meetings and occasional industry events/trade shows.
· Partner with design/operations to hit quick-turn timelines and deliverable quality.
REQUIREMENTS:
· 4 to 5 years of B2B sales experience, (any industry); packaging/manufacturing an asset.
· Comfortable running a full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
· Hunter mentality: prospects daily and leads value-based conversations that quantify ROI
· Skilled at relationship-building and identifying growth opportunities with small to mid-sized customers.
· Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
REMUNERATION:
BASE SALARY: $75,000 – $85,000 VARIABLE: guaranteed bonus + uncapped commission program
