On April 23, 2017, Dennis Dickey of Tucson, Arizona organized a party.
The event would include a gender reveal for the baby he and his wife would soon be welcoming.
Apparently, Dickey considered popping a balloon or cutting into a cake, far too blasé. Instead, he placed Tannerite (a highly explosive substance) inside a target and planned to detonate it with the help of his high-powered rifle.
Moments after pulling the trigger, the subsequent explosion ignited a fire that quickly raged out of control. Over the next week, 800 firefighters worked to contain the blaze!
In all, Dickey’s antics resulted in damage to more than 45,000 acres of land, numerous evacuations – at a cost of more than 8 million dollars! (By the way, it was a boy!) What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role? Absolutely nothing. That said, while you’re here, George Stankovic is looking for a Recruiter for our client in Montreal. POSITION: RECRUITER OFFICE: MONTREAL
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting creation, sourcing candidates through various channels (online job boards, social media, networking, etc.), screening applications and resumes, conducting interviews (phone, virtual, and in-person as needed), and managing the offer process.
· Focus on high-volume recruitment of security personnel for the Montreal branch, ensuring a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their needs and ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process.
· Coordinate onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a positive and informative experience.
· Accurately input and maintain employee data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
· Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
· Participate in recruitment strategy meetings and contribute ideas for improving the recruitment process.
· Potentially participate in job fairs and other recruitment events.
· Provide regular updates for hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Experience in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
· Experience with high-volume recruitment, preferably in a related industry (e.g., security, staffing).
· Experience with onboarding processes and HRIS systems (specify preferred systems if applicable).
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent, bilingual communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to build rapport and establish strong working relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
· Proficient using various recruitment tools and technologies (ATS, job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter).
· Must be able to work 5 days per week from the Montreal office.
REMUNERATION:
SALARY: $50,000 – $60,000
