Robert Van Winkle was born in 1967. Better known by his stage name, Vanilla Ice – he rocketed to fame in the early 1990s with his hit "Ice Ice Baby," the first hip-hop single to ever top the Billboard charts. SUMMARY: Our client, a well-known litigation firm in Ottawa is looking for an experienced Wills & Estates Lawyer to join their team. The right candidate should have solid experience in estate litigation and be dedicated to providing top-notch legal service to clients. POSITION:    WILLS & ESTATES LAWYER INDUSTRY:   LEGAL

LOCATION:  OTTAWA, ONTARIO (3 DAYS WFH FLEX) RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including drafting wills, trusts, & power of attorney documents.

·       Provide legal counsel on estate administration and probate processes.

·       Assist executors and trustees in managing and distributing assets in accordance with the terms of wills and trusts.

·       Handle estate disputes and provide solutions to minimize potential conflicts among beneficiaries.

·       Conduct legal research and remain current on developments in Ontario’s wills and estates law.

·       Draft, review, and interpret legal documents related to estate planning and administration.

·       Represent clients in court for probate and estate administration matters, if necessary.

·       Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive legal services for clients.

·       Ensure adherence to ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality.

·       Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the firm's growth initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

·       3-5 years of proven experience in a law firm.

·       High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

·       Excellent knowledge and understanding of wills and estates law and procedures.

·       Ability to be both a self-starter and team player.

·       Excellent technical, written and oral communication skills.

·       Must be a member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

REMUNERATION:

SALARY RANGE: $115,000 – 140,000
