On September 13, 2023, a Rock ‘n’ Roll tradition was born at a music festival held at Varsity Arena in Toronto.

When festival host Kim Fowley heard John Lennon was nervously chain-smoking backstage, he came up with an idea to put John at ease.

Stepping to the microphone and addressing the crowd he said, "Everyone get out your matches and lighters, please. In a minute I'm going to bring out John Lennon and Eric Clapton and when I do I want you to light them and give them a huge Toronto welcome."

When John and Eric stepped onto the stage, the crowd was awash in a sea of lights. From that night, the ‘lighter trick’ went viral, and has become commonplace at rock concerts, everywhere!

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?

Absolutely nothing! But, while we’ve got your attention, George Stankovic is looking for a Security Operations Manager to oversee multi-site security operations across the Greater Toronto Area. This is a hands-on role focused on client ownership, team leadership, and operational consistency across a high-volume portfolio. You’ll be responsible for maintaining service standards, supporting site teams, and ensuring operations align with both client expectations and financial targets. Well suited for someone from a contract security environment who is comfortable balancing field presence with administrative oversight. POSITION:   SECURITY OPERATIONS MANAGER LOCATION:  GTA WEST (NEAR AIRPORT)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Serve as primary client contact and manage ongoing communication

·         Conduct regular site visits across the GTA, ensuring compliance with post orders and procedures

·         Lead supervisors and site teams across multiple locations

·         Drive accountability through coaching, discipline, and clear expectations

·         Ensure adherence to SOPs, reporting standards, and attendance policies

·         Oversee staffing, workforce planning, and coverage for absences, vacancies, and special assignments

·         Manage escalations and incident follow-ups, including after-hours support

·         Ensure accurate billing inputs and timely invoicing

·         Review and adjust payroll hours as needed

·         Monitor labour usage and support cost control initiatives

·         Maintain accurate site data, including rates, schedules, and setups

·         Uphold company standards across all client sites

REQUIREMENTS:

·         1-2 years in security leadership, managing multiple sites, teams, and client relationships

·         Strong understanding of staffing, scheduling, and service delivery

·         Experience with payroll, billing, or cost control

·         Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

·         Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-site environment

·         Familiarity with access control, CCTV, alarms, and visitor management systems

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office, scheduling, and reporting tools

·         Valid Ontario driver’s license with clean abstract and reliable GTA transportation

·         Ability to handle after-hours escalations as needed
