On September 13, 1969, a Rock ‘n’ Roll tradition was born at a music festival held at Varsity Arena in Toronto. When festival host Kim Fowley heard John Lennon was nervously chain-smoking backstage, he came up with an idea to put John at ease. Stepping to the microphone to address the crowd he said, "Everyone get out your matches and lighters, please. In a minute I'm going to bring out John Lennon and Eric Clapton and when I do, I want you to light them and give them a huge Toronto welcome!" When John and Eric stepped onto the stage, the crowd was awash in a sea of lights.From that night, the ‘lighter trick’ went viral, and has become commonplace at rock concerts, everywhere! What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role? Absolutely nothing! That said, Jeanne Agius is looking for a Sales Representative in the GTA who will drive new business growth in an underserved segment. Our client manufactures custom corrugated packaging and related shipping supplies. They specialize in short runs, quick turnarounds, and in-house packaging design, serving small & mid-market customers across the GTA.In this role, you’ll hunt for net-new accounts, sell custom corrugated boxes, protective packaging (e.g., bubble/shrink wrap), and design-led solutions, partnering closely with internal design and operations to deliver fast, reliable outcomes. POSITION:      SALES REPRESENTATIVE INDUSTRY:     PACKAGING LOCATION:    GTA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Learn & Assess: Understand offerings, client base, operating model; identify market opportunities.

·         Build & Position: Develop/manage a strong new-business pipeline aligned to growth priorities.

·         Execute & Deliver: Close packaging opportunities and create measurable impact.

·         Lead sales process from prospecting and qualification to proposal, negotiation, and close.

·         Represent company at customer meetings and occasional industry events / trade shows.

·         Collaborate with internal design/production for fast, reliable delivery on quick-turn programs.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

·         1 to 3 years of B2B sales experience (any industry); packaging/manufacturing an asset.

·         Hunter mentality: prospects daily and leads value-based conversations that quantify ROI.

·         Clear communicator with basic financial/quoting acumen and strong organization.

·         Valid driver’s license + reliable vehicle.

 

REMUNERATION:

 

BASE SALARY: $70,000 – $75,000 VARIABLE: guaranteed bonus + commission program
