1981, my Grade 4 teacher, Mrs. Verticchio, announced we'd be making Rice Krispie Squares. The class erupted – nobody more than me. But when she said each student would need to contribute ingredients, my enthusiasm died instantly.
As the son of immigrants, I dreaded asking my parents for money. So, while my classmates eagerly volunteered for Rice Krispies, marshmallows and butter, I avoided eye contact and sank into my chair. Too expensive!
Then Mrs. Verticchio said we’d also need two pots and relief flooded through me."We have tons of pots at home – and it won’t cost us anything!"Thrilled, I proudly volunteered to bring both – not just one!
That night at dinner, I bragged about my clever approach to my parents. My mother was not impressed!
Frustrated, she explained our kitchen pots were old and ugly, and she’d rather have me drop out of school than bring unsightly cookware.
She drove to the department store that evening and bought two new pots we didn't need.
In retrospect, that was the day I learned how to spend $60 saving $3 – and I should have volunteered the bag of marshmallows!
What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role? Nothing at all. That said, while you’re here, Match and Fable is working with a fast scaling, privately held GPU datacenter and cloud infrastructure company in the USA. They’re looking for a hands-on Vice President, Sales to lead and grow its revenue engine.
This company is bootstrapped, profitable, and growing 4x annually. They provide hardware-agnostic datacenter and hosting solutions for customers who want speed to market, data sovereignty, and independence from big tech.
The VP Sales will drive all revenue-generating activities – building structure, process, and accountability while leading from the front. You’ll hire, mentor, and motivate the team, design the revenue strategy, and personally close key enterprise deals. POSITION: VICE-PRESIDENT, SALES INDUSTRY: DATA CENTER & CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE LOCATION: USA-BASED (REMOTE WITH TRAVEL)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Build and lead a scalable sales organization
· Design and execute a 12-to-18-month growth roadmap
· Establish CRM discipline, compensation plans, and clear KPIs
· Drive new enterprise sales and channel partnerships
· Align sales, marketing, and professional services around results
REQUIREMENTS:
· 5 to 10+ years of B2B sales leadership in data center, cloud, or HPC industries
· Proven success scaling revenue 2–3x annually
· Deep understanding of colocation and GPU infrastructure markets
· Strong team building, forecasting, and execution skills
· Must be US-based and open to travel
REMUNERATION:
