Most people think the yellow No. 2 pencil is yellow simply because it stands out. But that's not why.
In the late 1800s, the world's highest-quality graphite came from China. Pencil manufacturers wanted customers to know they were using this premium material, so they painted their pencils yellow, a color associated with royalty and prestige in Chinese culture.
The strategy worked.
Soon, yellow became the industry standard – even for pencils that didn't use premium graphite.
Sometimes perception starts with a story long before anyone sees the product. People don't just buy quality. They buy what quality looks like. What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?
