Dorothy Fletcher was 67 when she boarded a flight from Britain to Florida with her daughter, looking forward to her daughter’s wedding. Somewhere over the Atlantic, everything changed. Dorothy suddenly developed severe chest pain. A flight attendant called for a doctor, and almost immediately, people began getting out of their seats and moving toward her. There wasn't one doctor on the plane – there were 15! They were all cardiologists, traveling to Orlando for a medical conference. They rushed to Dorothy's aid, treating her with the equipment available on board and helping stabilize her as the plane was diverted to North Carolina.
Dorothy spent several days in hospital and survived the heart attack. Remarkably, she recovered in time to attend the wedding.
Later, she recalled watching all those doctors come rushing toward her and thinking how lucky she was. But she had no idea who any of them were.
She only knew they were heading to a cardiology conference.
She had suffered a heart attack on a plane carrying 15 cardiologists! What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?
Well, nothing really.
