SUMMARY: Our client, a well-established Toronto-based law firm, is seeking a Municipal and Planning Lawyer to join their team. This full-time on-site position offers the opportunity to work on complex and challenging files with comprehensive technical, administrative, and peer support.

POSITION:    MUNICIPAL & PLANNING LAWYER INDUSTRY:   LEGAL

LOCATION:  TORONTO RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Advise clients on municipal law matters, including land use litigation, expropriation, and environmental issues.

·         Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to municipal proceedings.

·         Represent clients before various courts and administrative tribunals.

·         Conduct thorough legal research to support client cases.

·         Manage deadlines and ensure efficient, accurate completion of legal work.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Law degree from an accredited institution + membership in the Ontario Bar Association.

·         Minimum of 3 years of experience in municipal and planning law.

·         Expertise in municipal law and regulations.

·         Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.

·         Experience in litigation and court representation.

·         Knowledge of zoning and land use laws.

·         A partial or full practice with the opportunity to handle internally referred matters.

REMUNERATION:

SALARY: $100,000 – $150,000 + benefits
