Ronald Lord looked like the last person airport security would bother with. Seventy-one years old, Canadian pensioner, rolling off a flight from Barbados on his mobility scooter.

But on February 7, 2025, Border Force officers at Gatwick decided to X-ray the scooter. Inside the back seat panel, they found eight kilograms of cocaine, worth £640,000 on the street.

Lord denied everything. He said he was on holiday, he didn’t know how the drugs got there, maybe someone else had tampered with his scooter.

The story might have held – until officers searched his pockets.

There, they found a single screw. The very screw that had been removed from the scooter seat panel to hide the drugs.

That was the moment the story fell apart. Lord pleaded guilty to drug smuggling at Croydon Crown Court in August and was sentenced to six years in prison on September 5, 2025. What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role? Nothing at all. That said, George Stankovic is seeking a bilingual Account Manager to lead operations for a national client. This client-facing role demands strong leadership, operational oversight, and relationship management. The Account Manager will ensure seamless service across multiple sites, rapid incident response, and compliance with client and regulatory requirements. The position requires availability for urgent matters, occasional overnight response, and travel. POSITION:      KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER INDUSTRY:     SECURITY LOCATION:    MONTREAL (HYBRID)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols

·         Align operations with client goals and compliance standards

·         Lead a regional team of ~45 staff across 8 sites (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Saint John)

·         Ensure 24/7 coverage and rapid incident response

·         Serve as primary client contact during critical events, including after-hours

·         Direct investigations and coordinate breach response efforts

·         Recruit, train, and mentor staff at all levels

·         Deliver monthly training sessions across all shifts

·         Produce weekly executive and audit-ready security reports

·         Maintain presence in Montreal office (2 days/week) and rotate through regional sites

·         Partner with supervisors and managers to drive operational excellence

·         Conduct regular Montreal site visits and bi-weekly travel to Toronto

·         Support urgent, short-notice travel during emergencies or early client engagements

REQUIREMENTS:

·         3+ years of experience in account management, operations, or security leadership

·         Valid Security License and CPR/First Aid certification

·         Strong understanding of security operations, frameworks, and best practices

·         Proven experience managing incidents and breaches, including after-hours response

·         Bilingual fluency in French and English (spoken and written)

·         Exceptional organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Excel

·         Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and stay client-focused in crises

REMUNERATION:

SALARY: $85,000 – $90,000
