SNOWMAN ($130,000 – $160,000)

In February 1956, an eight-year-old plow horse from Pennsylvania's Amish country was hours away from the slaughterhouse.
That same day, 28-year-old riding stable owner Harry de Leyer arrived late to a horse auction. The best horses were gone. Among those left behind was a filthy gray horse already loaded onto a trailer bound for the meat dealer.
Something made Harry stop. He trusted his instincts, paid $80, and took the horse home. He named him Snowman.
At first, Snowman was simply a lesson horse. But he kept jumping the neighbour's five-foot fence, not to run away, but to return to Harry.
Harry knew he had something special.
He trained Snowman as a show jumper, and within two years, the former plow horse was named United States Equestrian Federation Horse of the Year. He won numerous championships, including making history at Madison Square Garden as the first horse to capture the Open Jumper Championship in back-to-back years.
A horse destined for the slaughterhouse became a national champion.
Sometimes, all it takes is one person willing to see what everyone else missed. What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?
Nothing at all!
