At a Sotheby’s auction in New York, on November 20, 2024, a piece of art sold for a whopping $6.2 million, surprising everyone with its unconventional nature. The buyer, crypto mogul Justin Sun, described the artwork as a “cultural phenomenon”.

Initial estimates suggested the ‘artwork’ could fetch somewhere between $1 million and $1.5 million.

The artist behind the piece, Maurizio Cattelan, is known for pushing boundaries with works like his solid gold toilet – America. This time, however, he created something shockingly simple. The piece in question? A banana duct-taped to a wall! (By the way, for that price, you could buy more than 17 million bananas!) What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?

That said, while we have your attention, Jeanne Agius is looking for a Project Manager in Hamilton! Our client is a rapidly emerging real estate development company looking for a Project Manager to lead residential and commercial projects from inception to completion. The position involves ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery of high-quality projects. POSITION:    PROJECT MANAGER LOCATION:   HAMILTON INDUSTRY:    REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Oversee large construction processes through every phase, from feasibility and planning to construction and closeout.

·         Apply knowledge of the Hamilton real estate market, zoning regulations, and building codes, for successful project execution.

·         Conduct due diligence, feasibility studies, and market analysis to assess project viability and maximize potential.

·         Develop detailed project pro-formas, financial models, and budgets to ensure profitability.

·         Oversee selection and management of architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.

·         Monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and quality standards.

·         Proactively manage project budgets, schedules, and risks.

·         Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors and community groups.

REQUIREMENTS

·         Degree / Diploma in Construction Management, Real Estate Development, Engineering, or related experience.

·         5+ years of experience in real estate development project management.NICE TO HAVE: PMP, LEED AP, or CCIM certifications.

·         Familiarity with Hamilton’s real estate market and handling large-scale construction projects.

·         Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contract administration.

·         Strong financial and budget management skills.

·         Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

REMUNERATION

SALARY: $125,000 – $150,000
