Abraham Lincoln was known for his calm, thoughtful demeanor, but he wasn’t naturally that way. He had a temper. And during the Civil War, he faced constant criticism and betrayal.


So, he created a private ritual.

Whenever someone infuriated him, be it a general who disobeyed orders, or a politician who attacked him, Lincoln would sit down and write a scathing letter.

He’d pour out his frustration, line by line. Then he’d fold the paper neatly and write on the envelope:

“Never signed. Never sent.”

 

And he’d set it aside in a drawer.

 

Dozens of these letters were found after his death – demonstrating his emotional discipline.

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?

Nothing at all!

 

That said, Woody has partnered with a fast-growing, multi-unit restaurant franchisor who is seeking a President (Canada) to lead enterprise performance, operational excellence, and profitability across all their divisions. This executive position is accountable for driving same-store sales growth (SSSG), expanding EBITDA, and ensuring consistent execution across corporate and franchise systems.

POSITION:      PRESIDENT (CANADA) INDUSTRY:     FOOD SERVICE LOCATION:    SOUTHWESTERN ONTARIO CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Lead cross-functional teams to achieve system-wide growth, profitability, and operational consistency.

·         Drive enterprise financial performance, optimizing cost structures, capital use, and EBITDA margins.

·         Develop and execute strategies to grow same-store sales through menu innovation, pricing, marketing, and guest engagement.

·         Oversee operational standards, efficiency, and quality across all units.

·         Implement process improvements, technology, and training that enhance scalability and unit economics.

·         Manage long-term strategic planning, financial governance, and enterprise risk.

·         Build and mentor a high-performing executive team and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

 

·         10+ years of senior leadership in multi-unit restaurant or foodservice operations.

·         Proven success leading full enterprise P&L and cross-functional teams.

·         Demonstrated ability to drive same-store sales growth, expand EBITDA, and strengthen franchisee performance.

·         Experience scaling a franchise or large multi-unit system (50+ locations).

·         Strategic, data-driven, and execution-focused with strong financial acumen and leadership presence.

 

REMUNERATION:

 

SALARY RANGE: $200,000 – $225,000 BONUS: 25% ($50,000 – $56,250) OTE: $250,000 – $281,250 OTHER: benefits + car allowance + 4 weeks’ vacation
