Every June, 23,000 runners toe the line at South Africa's Comrades Marathon (one of the world's oldest and most brutal ultramarathons). Ninety punishing kilometers from Pietermaritzburg to Durban. Most finishers crawl across after 12 hours. Elite runners do it in half that.

In 1999, first-timer Sergio Motsoeneng stunned the field by placing 8th.

Impressive … but suspicious. Fellow competitor Nick Bester (who finished 15^th) couldn't shake one detail: he never saw Sergio pass him. Not once in 90 kilometers.

When race photos surfaced, the mystery deepened. Early images showed Sergio's watch on his left wrist. Later shots? Right wrist. Somewhere along the route, he'd also sprouted a fresh scar on his left shin.

Investigators dug deeper.

Forty-five minutes in, Sergio ducked into a porta-potty where his brother Fika was waiting. They swapped clothes, shoes, and race numbers. Fika ran the remaining 80+ kilometers while Sergio vanished.

Evidence suggested they'd pulled "the switcheroo" at multiple ultramarathons.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Manage cleaning operations across multiple sites to quality standards

·         Serve as primary liaison between property management, tenants, and on-site teams

·         Prepare and manage operating budgets for each location

·         Process all invoicing and billing through proprietary systems

·         Ensure site supervisors comply with company and building policies

·         Conduct performance reviews and client meetings

·         Perform site inspections and troubleshoot service issues

·         Ensure contract compliance and KPI achievement

·         Respond to emergency situations

REQUIREMENTS

·         5+ years management experience in cleaning, facilities, or service industries

·         Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold teams accountable

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

·         Experience managing union and non-union workforces

·         Working knowledge of commercial cleaning operations, products, and equipment

·         Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe

·         Fluent English (additional languages an asset)

REMUNERATION

SALARY: $95,000 – $110,000
