In 1770, Hungarian inventor Wolfgang von Kempelen unveiled "The Turk" to impress Archduchess Maria Theresa – a chess-playing machine that stunned the world.

 

This life-sized automaton sat behind a wooden desk, seemingly playing chess without human input. For 84 years, it toured Europe and America, defeating challengers, including Benjamin Franklin and Napoleon Bonaparte and leaving onlookers in awe.

 

Before each match, organizers would open the cabinet, revealing intricate gears as ‘proof’ there was no hidden operator.

 

But in 1854, after a fire destroyed ‘The Turk’, the truth emerged; it was all a hoax.

A hidden chess master inside the cabinet had been controlling every move! What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s newest role? Nothing at all. That said, while you’re here, George Stankovic is looking for an Account Executive for our commercial vehicle upfitting client, based in Bolton. POSITION:    ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (ONTARIO) TERRITORY:   SOUTHERN & CENTRAL ONTARIO LOCATION:   BOLTON, ONTARIO

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Actively source new leads via networking, in-person visits, industry events, cold calls, and other outreach efforts to build a strong pipeline.

·         Cultivate strong connections with prospects and industry leaders to drive partnerships.

·         Work closely with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and goals, providing tailored solutions.

·         Partner with internal teams to develop strategic plans that align with company objectives.

·         Stay up to date on market trends, competitor activity, and industry shifts to identify opportunities.

·         Track progress and leads in the CRM, monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and report on progress.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

·         NICE TO HAVE: Strong understanding of the work truck industry.

·         Ability to build rapport, generate qualified leads and close deals in this space.

·         Proactive, self-motivated approach to identifying opportunities and driving results.

·         Possess strong ethics and integrity while displaying professionalism.

·         Ability to work independently and manage a busy on the road schedule.

·         Excellent negotiating, organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

·         Proficient in use of MS Office Suite and cloud-based office systems.

·         Proven experience in sales or business development roles preferably within the commercial vehicle upfitting (or related) industry.

·         Valid Ontario driver’s license and the ability to travel between Canada / USA.

 

REMUNERATION

 

BASE SALARY: $90,000 – $100,000

ON-TARGET VARIABLE: $40,000 (uncapped) ON-TARGET EARNINGS: $130,000 – $140,000
